Once Upon A Time in a 2 Bedroom Apartment…

After several years as an apartment-based business, and one year in an empty church storage room, Astound Video opened its first retail location on the west end of Selby Avenue in St. Paul in 2004. Increased visibility coupled with some strategic yellow-pages advertising was good for business and we hired our first employee in 2005.

In 2007 the company moved to its current location on Cleveland Ave. near Randolph Ave. in St. Paul and was the first retail video transfer company in Minnesota to expand to 2 locations with the opening of its Southwest Minneapolis store in 2010.

Astound Video opened its third store in 2012. Located in Roseville, MN, this 3,000 square foot former TCF Bank provided ample room for expansion and a high degree of visibility. It quickly became our busiest location, and has remained so ever since.

Seeing an opportunity to expand into the south metro, we opened our fourth store in 2013 in Apple Valley, MN.

Since then, we opened a fifth store in Coon Rapids in 2016, relocated our Minneapolis store to St. Louis Park in 2019, and then relocated the Coon Rapids store to Anoka in 2021. What’s next for Astound Video? Stay tuned.
